Before you cast your vote in this poll, please read the links below so you have an idea that PRO and ANTI - RALLYISTS/GMA/CALL for RESIGNATIONS co-exist in a nation, or a community in that matter.  And to be informed that: though many are rallying on the streets to have her out, there are people existing who choose her to stay.

Personally, I would like to see Gloria Macapagal Arroyo step down from power and relinquish her presidency. Although, the Philippines has gained a lot of international recognition for having another woman as the head of the state, the Philippines still holds a reputation as one of the most corrupt and poorest nations in the world. Despite my absence from the Philippines for many years, I’m well informed about the consequences of Gloria’s policies and the failures of her administration to alleviate poverty and to prevent large-scale corruption. Sure poverty and corruption are worldwide issues and the Philippines is not the only country that suffers from these predicaments but they need to stop. It is unfortunate that despite our democratic rights to vote and elect rightful leaders in our country, we have failed to choose the one that really stands out and the one that’s truly determined to resolve the ever-growing social, political, and economic problems in our country. Poverty and corruption are deeply rooted in Philippine politics and there are a number of reasons why these things happen, but the way I look at it is that, it all comes down to greed and self-interest. Many politicians in Third World countries are power-hungry and once they’re in power, they abuse their authority and forget about the people, the people who put them in power in the first place. Yet, one of the reasons why Filipino politics is inherently flawed is because of kinship. The notion of kinship remains as a norm in the Philippines, where family dynasties dominate politics. Unless, someone is willing to break this chain, we wont see radical changes in the near future, which could essentially improve the social and economic well being of our citizens. Now, I don’t know who’s the most able candidate after Gloria, but hopefully someone like Chavez…(hehe wishful thinking her)

As for me, i only want the truth to come out. I teach in a catholic school, the church leaders do not even ask GMA to step down. Instead, they lead the interfaith mass and rally for the the TRUTH. If she would be ousted who will take the position?? what our nation needs is a leader with a strong emotional ability. Not depriving the rights of others to serve even if they are the great rivals...

Well...I think if we're talking about faith in God and having moral judgement and what not, Gloria doesn't fit the description because there's evidence that she cheated the filipino people, and we can't afford to have personalities like that anymore in our government. Regarding the question about religion, this is where I don't like mixing politics with religion because it's too complex and Im not gonna go there., (I was raised catholic though)

About "depriving the rights of others to serve even if they are the great rivals", of course we do, if it leads to the betterment of our country, why not?

we have to** (instead of we do)
