Paris Escapes: Precautionary Measures for Tourists

From my dad's friend:
Hi. Sorry for the late response. I got busy and had bad colds.
Re: incident in Paris, I was a victim of pickpocket.
Imagine twice in
the same night. First at a subway station near Hotel Invalides where
he got all my money and credit cards. I suspect there was collusion
(Naomi: connivance or conspiracy in legal terms) with train
personnel. Then at Sacre Coure at Montmarte where they really grab me
in my arms, body and feet. But they got nothing anymore.
People there seem to be unruly and unkind especially to tourists who are the primary victims (Naomi:
Jenny in my multiply though says people in Paris are accomodating to
tourists who willingly and voluntarily take pictures for you. So I
guess let us not overgeneralize this statement). So
don't expose yourself as a tourist. Pretend you have been a long time
resident. Hide your cameras, maps or brochures. Take them only when
needed. The police can't protect you.
Paris is different no than when we first went there. It is now full of
migrants mostly from eastern european countries who have been a
headached for authorities there. So take precaution. We pray you'll have an enjoyable stay. God Bless!!!
Naomi: O well, let us take the necesary precautions when we get to
Paris. For my friends who are expecting me to bring my laptop, I am
now having second-thoughts. So I guess, if I am lucky to find a
computer with internet, in places where we will stay, that is the only
time I can upload the pics. No time to blog when I am there too I
guess.
